An airline firm has launched a day by day flight impressed by the black-and-white animals, which is taken into account by the nation to be its nationwide treasure. Chinese airline Sichuan airlines has launched a daily ‘Panda Route’, flying from Beijing to Chengdu.
The black-and-white baby female, named “3U” and nicknamed “YouYou,” was born on July 15, 2017, and has become the official ambassador of Sichuan Airline’s “Panda Route” international flight development program. The program, launched in 2016, aims to enrich the Company’s domestic and international route network, enhance passengers’ transfer service experience and introduce more destinations in Southwestern China to the world.
After being greeted at check in with adorable panda-themed counters and the occasional person in a panda suit, you can embark on their Airbus A350, colorfully decorated with 8 panda cartoons. Not only that, but air hostesses on the flight sport panda aprons whilst serving Sichuan delicacies, and food such as rice and cupcakes designed to look like the black and white bears. If you think this sounds too good to be true, check out the pictures.
“We support Sichuan Airlines’ ambitions to drive the highest level of passenger satisfaction as we work together to shape new opportunities to provide a truly unique experience to all travelers,” said Philippe Carette, the newly-appointed CEO of Thales InFlyt Experience.
“We’re excited to take this opportunity to introduce more people to Sichuan and pandas in a fun way,” said Shi Zuyi, General Manager of Sichuan Airlines. “Adopting pandas is one of our public welfare activities which supports the protection of endangered animals. It is also a part of Sichuan Airlines’ commitment to protect Sichuan culture and to promote it to our international passengers and partners.”
Furthermore, Sichuan Airlines has plans to carry out panda-themed flights, integrating more panda elements into its aircraft cabins and meal service to provide passengers from around the world with a cultural experience.
Thales is already Sichuan Airlines’ preferred business partner in avionics, providing the carrier with Flight Management Systems as well as customer support and innovative services for its A320 and A330 fleets.
